Sciatica

What is Sciatica?

The Sciatic nerves are the longest nerves in the body and are responsible for transmitting all signals of the lower body. Arising lower back, it threads down the pelvis, the hip and down the back of the thigh. Sciatica Neuralgia is not a disease, but rather a sign that the nerve has been irritated. Upon irritation or compression of the nerve, a shooting pain along the leg and sometimes foot can be felt. The pain is usually on only one side, depending on the location of the irritation. The pain can be intense and have a shorter duration, or it can be a milder pain but constant. Some sufferers can experience a debilitating numbness because of Sciatica. Pain is often worsened by sitting or coughing, and is relieved when at rest. Infrequently, if the lower spinal cord is inflamed alongside of the irritation of the sciatic nerve, sufferers may experience incontinence. Nerve irritation can occur as a result of piriform syndrome, herniated intervertebral discs, foraminal stenosis, osteoarthritis or may be present in pregnancy.

What are the treatment options?

Sciatica is usually treated with rest, stretching, hot and cold applications, and by taking pain medications. The condition will on average go away by itself as the irritation to the sciatic nerve diminishes, however if the cause is not treated it can return at any time. Preventions that can be used to minimise the risk of irritation include correcting poor posture, strengthening abdominal muscles, and stretching lower back and leg muscles.

How can Nubax help for Sciatica?

To cure or avoid Sciatica Neuralgia, it is important to limit vertebral compression. Axial decompression is a proven method with treating Sciatica. It has been practiced in the United States since the 1980s using expensive and cumbersome machines. The introduction of Nubax Trio has revolutionised this practice. Invented in Australia, Nubax Trio decompresses the vertebrae thanks to a lever system that multiplies the body weight, exerting a suction force from the centre of the vertebral disks.

In the case of a herniated disc, the compressed disc regains its thickness and the protrusion is reabsorbed, as the Sciatic nerve is no longer crushed by the hernia and the pain subsides because the vertebrae are re-aligned. By using Nubax Trio for only three minutes at a time, three times a day, Vertebral regeneration is possible.
